112 Gets Another Makeover!
Here are a set of recent images of the Amityville house going through yet another makeover. These images were taken in June 2009. Special thanks to our Amityville correspondent, Frank B. from Massapequa, for snapping some cell phone images!

What’s changed? And, would someone sensible please buy that house and restore it to it’s 1974 glory? (if I could, I would!)
Glory??? Whatever guy… Brian W. has put alot of time and money into Updating/Renovating the place. From the Expansion on the back for a larger Kitchen/Dining rooms to removing the walls seperating the bedrooms on the second floor to make a large master and office with sliding patio door and deck. Major Improvements to the Boathouse as well. He has done great work to improve on an old house. Although I really think he may be throwing good money after bad unless he plans to live there the rest of his life, I highly doubt he will see too much profit when the house does sell considering only it’s history as the scene of a Mass muder where small children were involved. But hey… Good luck.
AFFS, does not travel not my king, Mr Brian Wilson will never want to live in a house similar to the model of 1974, damn that’s stuck to you.
Regarding the second comment, not only children were involved but an entire family almost!
Congratulations and thanks for the updates!
If I bought the house, I’d restore it to its 1974 look and use it as a tourist attraction with neat souveniers, and video documentaries. Mainly, I’d just buy the house and restore it. That place means a lot to me.
Thanks amityville_fan… well I wouldn’t go so far as to open a “tourist attraction”, but I think you get my point, unlike some others!
All anybody has to do is take a look at photos from 1974 to see how incredible the house looked with those dark shingles and quarter-moon windows. Sure it’s just my opinion but the house looks plain boring stripped of that classic look. Seeing that this is a website devoted entirely to a crime and subsequent haunting/hoax (take your pick) which all revolves around an ICONIC structure, I don’t understand the “faux-shock” at my comment about restoring it ; )
